MAF Sensor Fault Solution
For rough running, power loss and warning lights caused by the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, we find the cause and offer a solution.
01 The problem
The MAF sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine. When it is dirty or faulty the engine calculates the wrong air-fuel mixture; the usual result is poor pull, hesitation, high consumption and a warning light.
02 The solution
Through reading and live-data analysis we tell apart a faulty sensor from an air filter issue or an intake leak. If the sensor really is faulty we say so; if something else is the cause we say that clearly.
03 Process
- Fault codes and airflow data are read.
- The cause is determined and solution options are explained.
- With your approval the required work is done; if software work is involved, the original is archived.
- A check is made afterwards.
